wbk receives KIT faculty teaching award
The KIT Faculty of Economics is awarding the Faculty Teaching Prize to Prof. Gisela Lanza and her team at the wbk Institute for Production Engineering.
The award recognizes a teaching concept that consistently combines theory and practice. In the learning factory, students work on real industrial systems, write their own code, control robots, and—through projects, seminars, and theses—independently develop solutions to real-world industrial challenges, often in close collaboration with industry partners.
Current research topics such as the smart factory and digital twin, as well as guest lectures from industry, demonstrate how dynamically modern production systems are evolving.
The team extends its heartfelt thanks to all students for their dedication and enthusiasm.
