The master thesis of Johannes Schubert, who is now working as an academic staff member in the field of manufacturing and materials engineering (FWT) at the wbk, was awarded the Dr.-Ing. Willy Höfler Prize as the best master thesis in the field of production engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Johannes Schubert was allowed to present selected results already one week before at the annual congress of the scientific society for production engineering (wgp) in Dresden. The associated peer-reviewed paper has been published as part of the conference proceedings by Springer-Verlag: https://lnkd.in/dkCEr56y.

The master's thesis was written as part of one of the work packages "Highly complex electrically insulating ceramic components with internal current-carrying conductors" being worked on at the wbk as part of the project "Final contour optimized production and property optimization using additive manufacturing" in the Advanced Manufacturing topic area of the InnovationsCampusMobility of the Future (ICM). The project was supported by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts.
