GAMI - Industry Projects

Many companies in China currently still lack suitable methods for introducing intelligent and networked systems in production. The GAMI supports industrial projects in the design of the respective industry 4.0 vision as well as the operative implementation of industry 4.0 relevant solutions. In addition to production, intralogistics and quality assurance are also taken into account in a factory.

The maturity-based method developed by GAMI for the analysis and design of intelligent production systems links the current situation with potential measures for continuous improvement. The methodology comprises five phases in order to consider strategic corporate guidelines, to define the area of investigation of the production system, to evaluate it with the maturity level system, to derive concrete implementation measures to improve the maturity level and plan their introduction, and to evaluate the benefit of the measures multi-criteria.

Overall, GAMI carries out projects in the following areas:

  • Supplier management
Topics: Analysis of purchased parts, supplier search, auditing according to ISO 9001 or ISO 14001, rapid plant assessments, supplier development
  • Qualitätsmanagement
Topics: Moderation and implementation of Six Sigma projects, implementation of quality management methods, design of quality management systems
  • Production Systems & Lean Factory Planning
Topics: Lean transformation projects, factory planning, layout planning assembly line design, value stream mapping and design
  • Intralogistics & material flow planning
Topics: internal material supply planning, design of milk run systems, packaging optimization
  • Industry 4.0
Topics: Industry 4.0 Maturity assessment, introduction strategies for Industry 4.0, digital shop floor management, data-based services (BigData)
